Owlfiles is an app developed by Skyjos Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of your data. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, use, and disclose when you access our website or use Owlfiles.
Information we collect
- Information you provide when you register for an Owlfiles account, including your email address, nickname, and avatar image.
- If you enable Sync Connections in Owlfiles settings, your connection settings are synchronized to our server.
- We do not collect your other data, such as files, documents, or media content.
How we use your information
- You may use a third-party account, such as an Apple ID or Google Account, to sign in and use the service. With your authorization and consent, we collect your email address, nickname, and avatar to verify your account and enable the service, in accordance with these terms and the Apple Privacy Policy and Google API Services User Data Policy.
- If you enable Sync Connections, the connections you create in Owlfiles are synchronized to our server and made available on your other devices. This feature is disabled by default and can be turned on or off in app settings.
- We use your data to provide the services you request, such as account sign-in and newsletters.
Managing your personal information
You can modify your personal information in Account & Security in Owlfiles.
To erase your personal information, select Delete Account in Account & Security. We stop providing services for the account and delete related personal information and data. Account deletion is irreversible and the account cannot be restored.
How we share, transfer, or disclose personal information
We do not share, transfer, or disclose your personal information to any person or organization.
How we protect sensitive data
We store as little sensitive data as possible. When data must be stored in the app, such as sign-in and OAuth data, we use encryption to protect it.
App permission usage
Owlfiles may require specific device permissions for individual features.
- Android
- Storage permission is required when you use files on your Android device.
- Writing Settings permission is required if you adjust screen brightness while watching videos.
- iOS
- Local Network permission is required to access servers on your local network.
- Cellular permission is required to access servers over a cellular network.
- Camera permission is required to take photos with the in-app camera.
- Photos permission is required to transfer or save photos to and from the iOS photo library.
Use of analytics services
We do not use analytics services in Owlfiles. We do not monitor your usage or how you interact with the app.
